Experience the mystery of hundreds of centuries in the past at Serpent Mound - a 1/4 mile long, snake-shaped earthen mound and one of the largest serpent effigies found in North America. Or stand in the very place where hundreds of fugitive slaves first felt freedom over 140 years ago at the John Parker House. These places of mystery and adventure and many more can be revisited along the Appalachian Birding and Heritage Trail.
